synapped > Since I started shooting in RAW, I've been wanting to redo my icon moon shot in RAW.  However, the moon hasn't cooperated yet.  I'm hoping this month's harvest moon will give me a couple more opportunities.  Tonight's had a faint bit of cloud or mist around it -- thus the glow.

We took a trip up to Mt. Hood in Oregon recently.  This is the view of the mountain from the ski lodge window.  The snow is yet to come...

We recently went to the aquarium at Newport, Oregon.  I'm always fascinated with the jellyfish.  They're challenging to shoot in the low light, and I forgot to try even higher ISO's, but I discovered the program Nik Dfine works wonders for white noise!  I used the 15-day trial version, and -- voile'!

synapped > You’d think that when Mt. Hood heard I was getting up at 5 a.m. to come visit her -- yes, MOI, the night-owl, sleep-in girl -- she would have put on a little extra show:  perhaps would have grabbed a cloud or two or called in a dancing canoe.  But alas, it was not to be.  She did put on a light dusting of new snow and was lovely, nonetheless, and when I told her so she blushed ever so modestly.
