synapped > Life is a Wave The storm at Bandon, OR this weekend was amazing! The power of the waves was exhilarating. We stayed safely far above it at the overlooks. When we got home we heard there was a tornado that came inland at Lincoln City. The weather was clear on Saturday morning, but this was as the storm was beginning to roll in. synapped > Crown Point Wow, what a surprise I got tonight! I decided to head to the viewpoint of the Columbia River Gorge for sunset, since it was a clear day. I had planned out my shot and had gotten back in my car to wait for the sunset color to deepen. The wind was really blowing, and it was freezing up there. I got out when the sun hit the Vista House like this, and to my amazement, there was the full moon!! If I had stayed out there all along I would have seen it rise over the mountains. DOH! Oh, well...the winter rains have hit SW Washington! I find myself so disappointed with the colors because I've seen pix of it on a sunny day in the fall, so compared to that, this is blah. synapped > Pumpkin Tree, Very Pretty... I'd never heard of these things till I saw them at Costco and had to buy a bunch! They have tiny little pumpkins on them and even have thorns like rosebushes!
